Safety Warning

Neodymium magnets are brittle, super strong, easily shattered and broken, Here are some tips that will help when working with neodymium magnets:

1. Wear eye protection and gloves when working with magnets if necessary.

2. Slide the magnets rather than pulling off the stack.

3. Keep away magnets from kids in case accident happens.

4. Keep away magnets from objects that might cause damage like smartphone, GPS, pacemaker or other electronic devices.

5. Do not put magnets in high temperature environment, magnets will demagnetize while they are over heated.

6. Magnets can rust and get scratched because magnets contain iron and mostly are nickel plated.

Ring Magnets

The manufacturing of ring magnets is not a complex process. Ring magnets are created by drilling holes in the circular faces of disc or cylindrical magnets. Neodymium magnets can be easily machined with simple processes, such as drilling, chamfering, and cutting.

What are Common applications of ring magnets?

Ring magnets have numerous applications. In the audio industry, they are used in tweeters and speakers. In the motor industry, they find applications in coreless motors. Ring magnets used in the motor industry typically require radially magnetized magnets. Additionally, there are other uses.

How are the neodymium ring magnet made?

After cutting neodymium cylinder magnet material to the required thickness, it is placed on a bench drill press. Following proper positioning and drilling, it is crafted into a neodymium ring magnet. Once the holes are drilled, the neodymium magnets go through tolerance selection, electroplating, and magnetization, ultimately becoming the final product.

What is the maximum size of the ring magnets that Uwandy can produce?

Uwandy is capable of producing ring magnets with diameters ranging from 3 to 120mm. Depending on the magnetization direction, the thickness generally does not exceed 40mm. The minimum tolerance can be as tight as ±0.03mm, while for larger magnets, tolerances may vary between ±0.1mm to ±1mm due to the influence of thermal expansion and contraction.
